What is NA?

NA is a nonprofit Fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. We are recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean. This is a program of complete abstinence from all drugs. There is only one requirement for membership, the desire to stop using. We suggest that you keep an open mind and give yourself a break. Our program is a set of principles written so simply that we can follow them in our daily lives. The most important thing about them is that they work.

About NA in Qatar

The fellowship in Qatar started small in 2006 but has been growing gradually ever since. The first NA meeting in Qatar was held in Hamad psychiatric hospital and it was in English, embracing 3 members only. Three years later , another group was formed, and two more groups were established in 2011 & 2012. The total number meetings taking place a week is 7 meetings; 6 face-to-face meetings and 1 virtual meeting.

The growth of Qatar fellowship was slow and gradual at the beginning, at present, three groups are fully operational, one of these groups is exclusive to recovering females.
